She speaks both English and Igbo and grew up predominantly in the south suburban area of Chicago. She holds a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, from Chicago State University, and a Masters degree in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University. Ms Uzo is passionate about the arts, traveling, and community organizing.
